PLAYER CODE OF CONDUCT

Blast FC Soccer Academy Player Code of Conduct

Acceptance of membership by Blast FC Soccer Academy is a privilege that carries certain responsibilities. All Blast FC Soccer Academy Players are encouraged to take the time to read this Player Code of Conduct. As a parent/guardian, please encourage your player to read this guidance, or read and discuss it with your younger player, to help them understand the importance of following this Code of Conduct. This guidance applies to players of every age, and we rely on our Parents, Guardians, and Coaches to help instill the Code of Conduct in our players as part of the culture of our game.

The Player Code of Conduct is a set of guidelines that all players who choose to participate in any Blast FC Soccer Academy sanctioned activity or events that include but are not limited to all leagues, tournaments, and practices.

As a Blast FC Soccer Player, you are always representing our club.

The following agreement is made between each player and Blast FC Soccer Academy:

    1. Blast FC players are expected to conduct themselves in a manner which respectfully represents Blast FC Soccer Academy and does not bring discredit upon the organization.
    2. Blast FC players shall refrain from using profanity and derogatory comments based on race, gender, sexual orientation, or religion.
    3. Blast FC players will show respect toward teammates, clubmates, referees, opposing players, coaches, and parents.
    4. Blast FC players will not harass, abuse, or berate a match official for any reason at any time.
    5. Blast FC players should arrive on time and be prepared for all training sessions.
    6. Blast FC players should arrive at designated early arrival time for matches and be prepared with all three jerseys and all three colored socks and any other necessary equipment (i.e. shin guards, gloves (if applicable), ball, water, etc.).
    7. Blast FC players shall not participate in physical violence on or off the field.
    8. Blast FC players are expected to attend all training sessions, games, and team related functions.
    9. Blast FC players are expected to wear Blast FC approved attire at all Blast FC related activities.
    10. Blast FC players are expected to be respectful of the facilities Blast FC uses, both at home or away.
    11. Use or possession of any illegal substance including alcohol, drugs including but not limited to e-cigarettes, Vape products or E-liquid or participation in illegal activity of any kind will not be tolerated. It is your responsibility to prevent illicit situations from occurring and to avoid such situations that occur.
    12. When traveling with a Blast FC Soccer Academy team, players are expected to follow all team rules, including but is not limited to—curfews, behavior in hotels and restaurants –see Travel Addendum.
    13. Blast FC players are expected to maintain the highest standard of conduct and good sportsmanship on and off the field.
    14. Blast FC players are to use good judgement when using social media, group chats, and intersquad or public communications.
    15. Negative and derogatory comments will not be tolerated. This includes the posting of any inappropriate photos and/or videos.

Failure to comply with the Blast FC Soccer Academy Player Code of Conduct Agreement may result in a player’s suspension or expulsion from the club, as deemed appropriate by the coaching staff, Director of Coaching, Technical Director or Club Director.

TEAM TRAVEL ADDENDUM

Additional policies regarding team travel:

    • Blast FC Soccer Academy strongly encourages players/teams to travel together as a team, when possible, for events (i.e. tournaments, showcases, crossover events, etc.)
    • If 5 or more players are flying to a tournament together, they should wear their training pants (or shorts if warmer weather) and either a Blast FC Training shirtor warm-up jacket. All players must dress the same.
    • Players should arrive at matches dressed the same.
    • Using the swimming pool, Jacuzzi, exercise equipment or the like must be done with the permission of the coach.
    • Every person associated with Blast FC Soccer Academy must follow the rules of the hotel in which they are staying.
    • Players are not allowed to run around, play soccer in hotel hallways, or walk around barefoot or shirtless in the hotel.
    • Players will treat all parents, siblings, coaches, hotel staff and other guests with respect and will be helpful and responsible for assisting in keeping areas clean.
    • All areas used for team meals or gatherings will be cleaned and put back the way it was found prior to the team’s arrival. Leave it better than you found it.
    • If a team curfew is set by the coach, players will abide by the curfew.
    • Players will refrain from loud talking and shouting while in the hotel.
    • Players will not use inappropriate language and behavior on trips.
    • Deliberate damage of property will not be tolerated, and the player’s family will be held accountable for any damage.

Players need to remember that there are other guests and families in the hotels.

Represent your team and family appropriately.

**Older players need to also recognize that college coaches are in attendance and often stay in the same hotels. They see and hear everything. One player’s behavior, negative or positive, is a reflection on the entire team and ultimately the club to college coaches and hotel staff. Be a positive reflection.
