Dear Blast FC Families,

We wanted to take a moment to say Thank you for choosing to be a part of Blast FC.  We know that you could have chosen to be a part of many of the different clubs in Central Ohio and we are honoured that you chose us.  We look forward to seeing this club grow and develop even further.

Blast FC is fortunate to have an amazing array of staff and we would like to introduce you to them.

As you probably all know, Romeo Jozak is our new Club owner. With an immense experience in the international professional soccer, managing top European soccer teams, different national teams and various UEFA and FIFA tasks, Romeo will give the club and soccer community the highly needed strategic and professional input.

Matej Mlakic is a former professional soccer player who is educated in Sports Management and Business Economics with previous experience of working in GNK Dinamo Zagreb which is one of the best soccer academies in Europe. Matej will take care of the organizational aspect of the Club and will be responsible for the proper club functioning.

Our coaching staff will to be under supervision of Lesh Shkreli, our founder, the man who created the name Blast FC. His legacy will continue, and we can proudly say that his extraordinary energy and dedication is something we want to keep and nurture. We will strengthen the coaching staff hiring the best coaches from Central Ohio, just as well bringing some new ones from Europe. 

We have the players, and we have the staff.  Now we need a facility that allows us to train. You may have seen the release about us working to acquire land for new fields and facilities.  Soon we are expecting an official positive answer which we will share with you immediately. We are working hard to create the best possible environment for our players to properly develop and improve not just their soccer skills, but cognitive as well.

All of this change is so exciting and there is so much more happening. The Blast FC staff are working hard to implement some new things within the club.  We have already begun by streamlining the payment system (via QuickBooks), uniform ordering (via Macron website), and communication strategies (TeamSnap and WhatsApp).  We look forward to continuing making changes that will make us a better organization and make your lives easier.

At this point, you should have gotten your child’s uniform kits ordered.  If you have not received an email with your link, please let us know this asap. 

We currently are working with the Admins to get teams registered for respective leagues and begin the scheduling process. Practices will formally begin on July 31^st, 2021. All schedules will be updated within the TeamSnap program as soon as they are released.  Look for those updates as they become available to your child’s team.

A Spirit Wear Sale is being set up and will give the parents and siblings to show how much of a fan they are of Blast FC.  There will be car decals, sweatshirts, hats and more available.  You will get an update when this sale opens up here soon.

As we did this year, we will continue to give our players the opportunity to try themselves against teams in Europe. The European Tryouts will give our players the experience of playing in a professional environment with exceptional soccer players. Furthermore, the individual practices for our players will be organized so anyone eager to improve even more will have that opportunity. More initiatives will be implemented in the club day-to-day work as we believe this is the way we want to move forward.
