As I reflect on this year at Blast FC, I feel an incredible sense of gratitude and pride. Trophies come and go, but what has always mattered most to me is seeing our players grow, succeed, and chase their dreams. None of this happens without the players and parents who are truly the heart and soul of this club. Your belief, commitment, and support mean everything.
This year brought so many moments worth celebrating. From Kohen Caminiti earning the opportunity to train with Sevilla FC, to outstanding individual honors across our program, these achievements reflect the daily work and dedication of our players. At the high school level, Jacob Marshall was named All-Ohio and All-American, Gavin Waters earned Player of the Year in the OCC Buckeye Division, and Breydyn Folds was recognized as one of the top 12 players in the Columbus Metro area.
Our college alumni continued to shine as well, earning all-league and all-conference honors, including Henry Hutchinson at Wright State, Toby Forsythe at Shawnee State, and Deven Patel at Waynesburg University—who also signed with Columbus Crew 2. Seeing our players succeed at the next level is what makes me most proud of the impact this club is having.
At the professional level, it has been special to watch Taha Habroune’s continued rise with the Columbus Crew. In 2025, Taha was named to the MLS 22 Under 22 list, selected to the U.S. U-20 Men’s National Team for the FIFA U-20 World Cup, scored his first MLS goal, and became the first Crew academy player to advance fully to the first team. Moments like this remind us what’s possible.
I’m also incredibly excited about the continued growth of our Girls Academy and the future we are building together. Looking ahead, we have several exciting announcements and developments that I look forward to sharing soon.
Thank you for your continued trust and support. Wishing you and your families a very happy holiday season. Enjoy this time with your loved ones, and we’ll be back on the pitch together in January.
